SPECIAL EVENTS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

Career Services assists all undergraduates and graduate students at the University of Manitoba with career planning and job search issues. Services include job postings, a variety of workshops, individual consultations, career fairs, publications, resources and information on co-operative education/internship programs.

Career Services works with employers to help meet their recruitment needs. With a student population of over 28,000, these services are available to employers all year. Services include advertising of job opportunities, scheduling of on-campus briefing sessions and interviews, career fairs and co-operative education/internship programs information.

David_Ness@umanitoba.ca David has worked at the Student Counselling and Career Centre since 1991 and was named coordinator of Career Services in September 2007. In addition to his coordinating duties, David provides career and personal counselling to students and is involved in a variety of projects including researching student mistreatment and developing workshops to help students manage these situations. David has a keen interest in career planning topics and he enjoys working with students to help them strategize for success.
