When you join the Asper MBA, you join a community committed to exchanging knowledge, values and experience that make a difference.

To ensure we build the strongest community possible, we make our admission decisions carefully. Admission to our program is highly competitive; most applicants exceed the minimum requirements.

To qualify, you need:

  1. A baccalaureate degree or equivalent from an accredited university, with at least a B average in the most recent 60 credit hours of university-level work.
  2. A minimum of three years of work experience in a professional or managerial role.
  3. A competitive GMAT or GRE score (the admission average on the GMAT is 580).

Each year, the program admits a small number of highly experienced and gifted individuals who do not hold a baccalaureate. Such individuals must have meaningful work experience, outstanding performance in an alternate program of study, and a strong GMAT score.

Additionally, students whose first language is not English need:

  1. English Language Proficiency. A minimum score of 80 (internet-based) or 550 (paper-based) on the TOEFL, or comparable CanTest, AEPUCE, IELTS, MELAB results for applicants who do not hold a secondary school diploma/university degree from a country on the list of approved countries. The score must be no older than two years.

You can apply at anytime through the year, and completed applications will be reviewed and considered by the Asper MBA Admissions Committee on a monthly basis. However, deadlines do exist for program commencement purposes, and applications received after the deadline dates will be considered for the subsequent entry gate. You are encouraged to apply as early as possible for early consideration.

What you need to submit for your application:

  1. A completed Graduate Studies application form accompanied by $100 CAD.
  2. Official academic transcripts for university degrees and college diplomas and, where applicable, professional designations.
  3. A personal resume highlighting your work and leadership experience, accompanied by two sealed letters of reference.
  4. Official GMAT/GRE score and (if your first language is not English) English Language Proficiency exam results.
  5. A copy of your birth certificate or current passport, and proof of name change if any documentation is in your former name.

Application Deadlines:

For August start (the optimal time to commence the program if you plan to complete it in one year):
