University of Manitoba

Executive Programs

Executive Development is located on the second floor, 177 Lombard; the historic executive offices of The Great-West Life Assurance Company.  The downtown location will expand the reach of the Asper School of Business into the community and increase the School’s profile.

Executive Development is offered through four methodologies – Professional, Open Enrolment, Custom Design and Outreach Programs.

Professional and Open Enrolment

Through its relationships and in consultation with a number of Manitoba professions, The Asper School of Business will be offering a suite of courses and seminars to the members of certain professions and the general public.  The courses will be offered at the James W. Burns Executive Education Centre.

Custom Design

The Asper School of Business has developed an intensive 10-day program, Advanced Program in Leadership and Strategy, for junior and mid-level executives.  The Program is designed for individuals who intend to progress to roles that involve increased managerial responsibilities.  The Program is modularized and may be divided into specific modules, depending on the organization’s requirements.  A Certificate of Achievement is presented to individuals that have successfully completed the Program.

The Asper School of Business develops each Program in close consultation with each organization.  To explore how this program will benefit your organization and obtain testimonials from participating employers and candidates, contact Steve Vieweg (Steve_Vieweg@umanitoba.ca).

Outreach Programs

The Outreach Programs address, in part, the School’s objective of developing and nurturing strong ties with businesses and the larger community.  A number of initiatives, including Book Clubs, seminars specific to the not-for-profit and public sector and symposiums are regularly offered.
